This place is an Asian Bowl restaurant along with ice cream, bubble tea, and more. Its located across from the upper end of the Mall of Georgia, a stones throw south of an Arby's tucked in those stores. They have two doors. The left one was locked, the right one open.
I had never been and the waitress was helpful with explanation. The list of bowls say comes with thin noodles on some, and thick with others. So I focused on the thick noodle ones only. Then Im told you can get either with any bowl. I went with thick and when it came thought they were thin! I asked and yes, those were the thick. They looked thin to me.
There is a whole list of add on items from $1 to $5 to add if you wish, or they bring them on the side. I had the angry Pao Pao. It was chunks of little beef squares and a lot more. It was pretty good. The do have beer and Asian alcohol
I went on a Sat evening. Sound level was high as little to absorb sound and lots of families with kids. If you want quiet this in not it, unless you come off peak maybe. -

Not bad .. not bad ..
I've had better and I've had way worse. Pretty solid spot I like the happy hour specials ..
My ramen had a good bit of flavor I really enjoyed it. I tasted better than shin ramen but not as authentic as real Japanese ramen. In my opinion. I liked all the toppings and good portion too
The cheese puffs were typical. Not bad. Good generic app and our drinks were not that strong.
But service was good and I'm sure there's a bunch of people who would really enjoy this place still would prolly go to Umaido tho. -

I wish I could give them more stars but the last three times we visited Paopao it was a major disappointment. The customer service is the only thing that is worth 5 stars but if you're asking about the food, pricing and consistency in flavor and presentation, that is where we definitely are not happy and most likely not return.
Unfortunately, they are always short on staff when we visit and we do more waiting than actually enjoying our meals. The ramen broths are just "meh." I understand that ramen isn't low sodium but after one bowl of ramen here, you definitely want to drink a gallon of water to wash out all the sodium you ingested.
The appetizers are nothing special and not worth the extra dollars. The ramen options are not worth the price and what you get isn't exactly what is represented on the menu. I hate to give them 2 stars but we've been here one too many times and felt disappointed each time during our dining experience that giving 3 stars or more wouldn't even be an honest review. -

I had the Miso Chicken Katsu ramen and it was alright. The Katsu was crispy on the side that wasn't touching the soup and I liked the flavor of the soup. The noodles were cooked a bit too much for my taste. I tried my brother's black and white tonkotsu and I liked my broth better.
I also tried the veggie gyoza which was completely deep fried as opposed to being pan fried on only one side (traditional way), but the filling tasted good. We also had the spicy edamame which is just edamame with spicy sweet chili sauce which was fine. The service was decent.
We tried the rolled ice cream as well. We ordered Thai Tea ice cream with strawberries mixed in, topped with mochi and gummy bears. The Thai tea flavor was very weak and the ice cream ended up tasting only like strawberries which was disappointing but not bad.
Overall, not the best food but I didn't absolutely hate it. -

It's nice to know there's a ramen place near the mall of Georgia. I was looking for something a little more on the authentic side so I was hoping this place would suffice.
We walk in and it says to wait to be seated. We make eye contact with two different servers but no one approaches or says anything to us for five minutes. And to top it off, a man loudly screams "excuse me!!" So he can rush past me to the bar area....even though he had plenty of room to get past me.....what's up with that?
We're finally seated and again have to wait a while for someone to come and take our drinks order. Once the drinks arrive, we order. For myself the kimchi seafood heaven, and chad tries the angry pao pao. We also opt for an order of the gyoza.
The food all arrived at the same time so we quickly dig in. The gyoza are crispy outside and moist inside, but nothing new or special there. My ramen is fairly flavorful though the seafood definitely tasted very old. Strong fishy flavor yuck. Chad said his was good though the braised beef was super salty so he couldn't eat it.
Overall, the service was lacking and the food was good but nothing unique. However we will be back to give them another shot.
